To ensure a thorough review, please include the following in your initial pitch:
The Query Letter (250 - 350 words)
Start with a compelling hook that immediately establishes the voice of your manuscript, followed by a clear articulation of the stakes. We are looking for the "why" behind your narrative.The Opening (5 - 10 pages)
Please include the first 5 - 10 pages of your manuscript directly in the body of your email. Do not include attachments unless specifically requested.Manuscript Fundamentals Provide the working title, final word count, target genre, and intended audience (Adult, NA, or YA).
Comparative Titles
List two books published within the last five years that serve as strong comparisons for your manuscript. These should help us understand your book’s placement within the current market.Author Bio
Include a brief professional biography. List any relevant writing credits and a short note on why you are the unique voice behind this story.Regarding Synopses
Please do not send a full synopsis upfront. If we find that your sample material aligns with our current slate, we will reach out to request a full synopsis separately.

General submissions: Projects without a primary queer romance arc.
Genre outliers: Non-queer fiction, straight romance, or fantasy lacking a core romantic narrative.
Materials: Full synopses (please wait for our request) or initial-email attachments.

We treat all queries and manuscripts with strict confidentiality. We will not share, reproduce, or distribute your work. If your submission is not selected, your materials will not be retained beyond the review period. Simultaneous submissions are accepted; please notify us immediately if your work receives an offer from another publisher. Bright Tide Media Studios reserves the right to decline submissions without providing detailed feedback.
