Who are we

We represent a new standard in independent publishing. Specialized in BL, GL, fantasy, and danmei-inspired fiction, our house functions as a direct-to-market partner for queer authors. We strip away the systemic inefficiencies of traditional publishing, replacing agent-chasing and indefinite wait times with a bespoke, end-to-end management model tailored to your book’s unique needs.

Co-Investment Model

Query Guidelines

  • To ensure a thorough review, please include the following in your initial pitch:

    1. The Query Letter (250 - 350 words)
      Start with a compelling hook that immediately establishes the voice of your manuscript, followed by a clear articulation of the stakes. We are looking for the "why" behind your narrative.

    2. The Opening (5 - 10 pages)
      Please include the first 5 - 10 pages of your manuscript directly in the body of your email. Do not include attachments unless specifically requested.

    3. Manuscript Fundamentals Provide the working title, final word count, target genre, and intended audience (Adult, NA, or YA).

    4. Comparative Titles
      List two books published within the last five years that serve as strong comparisons for your manuscript. These should help us understand your book’s placement within the current market.

    5. Author Bio
      Include a brief professional biography. List any relevant writing credits and a short note on why you are the unique voice behind this story.

    6. Regarding Synopses
      Please do not send a full synopsis upfront. If we find that your sample material aligns with our current slate, we will reach out to request a full synopsis separately.

  • We Are Currently Not Accepting:

    • General submissions: Projects without a primary queer romance arc.

    • Genre outliers: Non-queer fiction, straight romance, or fantasy lacking a core romantic narrative.

    • Materials: Full synopses (please wait for our request) or initial-email attachments.

    • Multiple Projects at Once: Please submit each project seperately.

  • Our Review Process : We are committed to a thoughtful review process, which typically takes 8–12 weeks. We appreciate your patience, but welcome a single follow-up should you not hear from us within that window.

  • Submission Policy : We accept simultaneous submissions; we only ask that you alert us promptly if your manuscript finds a home elsewhere.

Submission Disclaimer

By querying Bright Tide Media House, you confirm that the submitted work is original, entirely your own, and not currently under contract or exclusive submission elsewhere. We treat all queries and manuscripts with strict confidentiality. We will not share, reproduce, or distribute your work. If your submission is not selected, your materials will not be retained beyond the review period. Simultaneous submissions are accepted; please notify us immediately if your work receives an offer from another publisher. Bright Tide Media Studios reserves the right to decline submissions without providing detailed feedback.
